Over on the GS forum these guys are popular

I've seen what a good job they do, and I'm thinking of treating the GTR to a pampering session as I'll be using it through the winter to get to work

I get several of our bikes done every year at an event I have at home and they will be here in a couple of weeks.

It's worth the money just to have the bikes thoroughly cleaned once a year rather than the quick wash and brush up they usually get (although I'm sure LW will disagree with me!). The ACF50 application is a bonus.

I'm old enough to know better but don't

I bought a bike to avoid the cleaning  getting someone else to clean sounds like a really good idea

If you ride all year ACF50 is a must, if you store your bike in the winter its also great at protecting it. I've used it on my last 3 bikes and its great stuff, had this treatment last year and its good, but does need 'topping up' if you do a lot of miles.
Once you realise we are all mad, life starts to make sense

TBH I do my own cleaning and am fortunate to have good storage facilities in the Rev Shed

You cant beat a bucket of hot soapy water with plenty of Fairy Liqued and a non abrasive pan scub, brings the bike up a treat........ :whistling:

On the other hand, maybe not.  :mfr_lol:

I give the bike a spray of FS365 every now and again - is ACF50 similar stuff? If anyone has tried bth I'd be intersted in their opinion on the preference.

I've got a gallon of FS365 in the garage.... the difference is you need to apply that every time you go for a ride as it washes off.... ACF50 coats the bike and stays on ....

As I posted on a another thread on here a while back, I use AllYearBiker (I use Nigel in Newbury) twice a year for mine. I do 16k a year all through winter, and as you can see from the pics, I am not a prolific bike washer.

Personally, I do think the ACF50 helps a lot.

BH! Where do you go to get it that dirty???

Comes up nicely though after a wash

Is the idea then that you have the ACF50 applied and basically forget about cleaning the bike until spring?  would washing it take off the coating ?
