Recently shopped around for new cover as current insurer had increased cover by £100. Used the meerkat site and got it down to £145 with Devitt and lower excess. Shop around and don't be afraid to change insurers think we can't be bothered but you can save a fortune. Usually have a different company every year.

I always shop around...

Was with Devitt but now with MCE Insurance. £365 fully comp which includes: Legal Expenses, Helmet & Leather Cover, Courtesy Bike, Breakdown Cover & Personal Injury Cover

I've just had my insurance renewal notice today.

Premium: £151               (Last year was £115)
Broker fee £17               (£30)
Optional legal  £17      (£10)

Total  £186                     (£162)

Compulsary excess has risen from £250 to £350

This is on the IAM Scheme with Adelaide, and gives business use, and they are aware of bike mods (flashing lights etc for cycle escort  work) although the bike is insured by British Cycling's fleet comp policy when im working on cycle races.

I'm more than happy with Adelaide.
