 :help:

I have purchased one of these and have no idea where to mount it. I have had the bike in bits today looking for the best place. The only place I found where it will fit is behind the rad on the left and mount it off the engine/rad guard using a stainless steal pipe clip. I was hoping to mount it where the existing is, but theres a problem of it being in the way of the suspension and hitting the fender..

Has anyone else bought one of these and if so where did you mount it? Thanks..

I've not personally fitted one deb.. but I believe that behind the side fairing right side is a favourite spot

Give us a 'toot' and film it when its fitted...I bet it sounds ace

Now that sounds awesome...  :mfr_lol:

Theres no room on the right hand side.. Already tried putting it there, also I need a decent mounting point.

The only thing I worry about with putting it behind the rad on the left is whether there is a lot of heat and could affect it..

However, I believe its possible to separate the horn from the compressor and link via tube. This allows the horn to be placed in a better position.

I have now mounted the horn.. I wasn't able to split it as its not a gunuine Nautilus.

I have mounted it on the left hand side behind the rad.. I know it gets hot there and it will be interesting to see if its effected over time. Think I may buy some self adhesive heat shield and cover it.

I clamped a pipe clip to the engine guard bar and bolted a L bracket to that.. Then the horn was boled to the L bracket..

Arnt I clever...  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: It sounds awesome  :mfr_lol:

Hae you wired it up to the leads from the original horn or elsewhere. Also stick it on You Tube and let shear it in full glory

Debs

Ive wired it through the existing horn leads

Relay, youv'e lost me there! Is'nt a relay a race or something?  :mfr_lol:

What does the relay do and where does it go?

Prevents circuit from being overloaded.
Wiring the existing horn wires to the new horn isn't a good idea as the new horn pulls a lot more power.
Instead, you wire a relay to the battery. The existing horn wires also wire into the relay. The relay will provide its own power which is connected to the new horn.

So when the horn switch is activated, it actually activates the relay. The relay gets its power from the battery, which then powers the horn.

Or that's how I think it works...
