In addition to my post of yesterdays fantastic ride out a sad event has come to light..

Devils Bridge has been known for many years for youngsters, mainly male, to jump from the Bridge parapet into the rapid water below...its a dangerous game which has claimed lives in the past, others have been seriously injured...we were discussing this very fact yesterday afternoon before the group moved on to Dent, and in fact we were looking at the water below from the bridge parapet where these stunts have taken place.
Yes Rog it's very sad, but as you know boys will be boys, it's all part of lifes rich tapestry. It will have devastated his family though.
At 5pm yesterday, just after we left Devils Bridge, another 'stunter' lost his life....what a waste of a young life...soooo needless

Oops sorry about that.                      What I said was. Yes it's very sad but as you know boys will be boys, young lads will never stop doing daft things, and taking risks, It's all part of lifes rich tapestry. I do feel really sorry for his family though.
