:help:  09 model.  The down pipe is smaller than the slip on pipe of the standard exhaust so, there is a lead 'shroud thingy' that bulks up the pipe and the exhaust slips over this and is tightened.  Ok.  My new after market slip on will not go over the shroud bit so does anyone know if this comes off and if so, to put the OE exhaust back on, can you buy a new lead shroud.  Thanks guys.

That's the gasket. I had to hack mine off. If you want to put the OEM exhaust on afterwards you'd need to get a new gasket.

The after market exhaust doesn't have a gasket. Well, mine certainly doesn't and works just fine, although I have wondered if there should be one there

Nice one.  Thanks for you help, hopefully a new gasget from Kawasaki aren't too expensive if I need to put the OE pipe back on.
