Will you be able to cope with the fame and stardom of it all ??  ;D
Well, I did think about this long and hard and then I decided that sometimes you just have to make sacrifices and take one for the team.  8)

Rusty

That's what I like to hear Mr Wolf, thank God there are people like you about..... ;D ;D

I know I'm not the sharpest pin in the box, but it sounds like you are taking the pish!! ;)

Rusty

Me ? Take the pish ?? Seriously I think that if RIDE do a feature then that would be a fantastic reflection on the Forum and of course those who do all the work for the rest of us. All those other chaps who don't have Gtrs would clearly see what they have been missing !

Kevin

I think we're going to give this a miss I'm afraid. The nearest hotels are a couple of miles or so away and I'm not walking that which means either sitting in the bar drinking orange juice all evening or pratting about with taxis and I don't really fancy doing either if I'm honest.

The Swallow Falls Hotel does actually have a room but it's "very small". When quizzed about how small while explaining we'd have bike gear in there they thought that would probably be difficult so it must be tiny! We were prepared to put up with it for one night but they'd only take a booking for two so we gave it a miss. They did promise to get back to us later that day (last Saturday) after they'd seen if they could 'rearrange things'  but they didn't so I assume they couldn't.

I'm sorry we won't make it (actually, I'm sorry we wont be in Europe for two weeks over this period as originally planned but this would have been a nice fall back).

Kevin, sorry to hear you won't be able to make this, two miles isn't that far to walk you know. I take it a tent is out of the question?

routemaster

I unfortunately won't becoming  :( - prime reason is financial constraints at the moment- sorry guys  :(

We're back on. StokeTim came up with a cunning plan and when I called the hotel to execute it they'd had a cancellation so we're now booked in for Saturday and Sunday nights. See you then.

In case anyone is interested, there is now a double room available at the hotel for Friday and Saturday night.

(2 miles might not be a long way Mr. LW but 2.5 milesx2 is 5 miles and that is a long way, especially when we're both old and decrepit with the damage we've picked up over the years!).

Uphill miles as well to the Swallow Falls hotel, the return trip/stagger woukld be a little less painfull though after a few drinks   ;D

Two weeks today myself and the significant other will be heading North along the B328, A487, A470 destination Mid Year GTR Owners convention. Hoping to get there for around 6pm as long as SWMBO can get away from work a bit earlier than usual on a Friday.  :D
Anyone fancy meeting up in a place called Betws y Coed?  8)
Hope the sun shines for us all  8)

stoketim

hope to get there early afternoon on fri so may be stuck in hotel bar  co :D :D
Here for a good time, not along time

pembsgtr

if thats the case I will be unsure as to what to do first, find you Stoketim which will mean tent stays down as beer is consumed or get in pitch tent then hit the bar? Drunken tent pitching probably not a good idea though  :D

You're only saying that because you don't have to sleep in it!
