Hi all

2008 GTR in black brought from Alfs motorcycles in Worthing West Sussex.  17k on the clock

Right where do I start with this...I suppose I'll just list it.

New front tps (didn't work from new)
New exhaust (rust)
Various nuts bolts and brackets (rust)
New petrol tank (rust)
And. SIX sets of brake discs and pads in 16k

Yes that's right SIX!!!   Kawasaki were ok with the first five but wouldn't agree with the last one.   tranding standards involved who agreed to take the dealer to court so funnily enough the dealer replaced it from his own pocket..Shame on you Kawasaki. Was only getting 3-4k from a set of discs.

After a bit of an investigation I new free up the disc buttons regularly, I was dong this anyway but it didn't make any difference but I have also changed the stock pads for EBC HH and this seems to have cured the problem (for now)

Bikes kept in a heated garage at work and at home and never left parked out on the street.  God knows what it would be like if I did. :)

Kid regards

David

Six?? Wow I bet that's a record

Ex-demo bike.  Only had it one month.  Was a bit stiff to begin with but failed this last weekend.  3 days from starting the claim, Kawasaki have already delivered a new complete shock to the dealer.  Very impressed and should all be sorted out next week  Happy bunny again

Lonewolf

Model: ZG 1400 CAF
Year: 2011
Colour: Magnesium
Where purchased: Second Hand from Christchurch in Dorset 17th March 2012.
Mileage: 21800 approx (June 2014)
Under warranty: Yes (Extended Warranty)
Problem description: Opened my nearside pannier on 23rd June 2014 and the lid fell open 180 degrees. Plastic retaining lug snapped where strap attaches. Never rest items within the lid and therefore the joints have never been sprained, its presumably just fatigued and become brittle.
Dealer response: Photos taken by me, taking the bike to dealer, Autorama at Batley later today for inspection, hopefully it will be honoured. Just needs a new lid not the entire pannier.
Dealer name: Autorama at Batley.
Cost of repair: Nil, successful warranty claim.
Other notes: Excellent service, while I was actually at the dealer, Brian called Kawasaki, explained the problem and the claim was authorised.

You don't need to ask permission on here just crack on with it. If you click on the image it should take you to Photobucket and from there you will have the links.

Thanks.  I don't mind copying something from someone I don't know but I do have a problem doing that with people I do know.  Kinda strange philosophy, I know, but then so am I....strange.
