Hi All, Sorry for not adding any notes to this section to date, but been quite busy taking exams, having holidays and working lots. Anyway sent the email noted below to K UK today and wait their response. Interesting to note that the main issues so far seem to be front discs and rear preload adjusters, followed by silencer paint falling off. Please keep adding your issues and I will report back to K UK and to the forum.

Hi

I represent a group of GTR1400 owners who all contribute to and chat on a forum
http://www.gtr1400.co.uk/forums/index.php

We are interested to know if you would like to receive feedback from us for any particular reasons or subjects. We are not in the mind to criticise without good cause nor give negative feedback , but wish to know that Kawasaki care a little for the buyers of their flagship bike in the UK.

If you let me know what information you are interested in, from faults to dealer service we will gladly provide it. In the meantime I have attached some info from some members which you may find concerning or may wish to provide technical answers for.

O.C.

That seems like a reasonable approach to me

I reckon its important to keep the feedback to Kawasaki objective and informative.

Response from KUK. A bit non committal and the kind of reply I expected. The importer is obliged to direct you to the dealer network first.
However he does leave his phone number at the end, which I suggest should only be used as a last resort. If abused it will just get cut off. I know having been in a similar position in the car trade once.

Dear Mr Bannister, .

Thank you for taking the time in contacting Kawasaki Motors UK. We do appreciate the information which you have collated from members of the 1400GTR forum.

Kawasaki Motors are more than happy to hear from and answer any questions or concerns that individual Kawasaki customers may have, in regards to any Kawasaki product or the service they receive from one of our authorised dealers.

We thank you very much for taking the time in creating the attached spreadsheet. The majority of the cases you have supplied, would have already been recorded through the various systems we have in place and communications through our dealerships. We would be unable to comment specifically on the supplied list as these cases would have been dealt with on a case by case basis directly involving the dealer and customer accordingly.

Should any of the 1400GTR members have a question regarding their machine, please direct them first to the supplying dealer, as they would have a better history of the motorcycle, potentially be able to physically inspect the machine and be familiar with the individual customer.

Please be assured that Kawasaki Motors UK does continuously monitor our products, listen to Kawasaki customers and if required pass any feedback on to the factory in Japan where applicable.

I thank you again for taking the time in contacting Kawasaki Motors UK.

Kind Regards

well it is a bit of a 'stock reply' but I do actually think that Kawasaki UK do listen and genuinly do try to resolve customer realted problems

I'm sure that they will have a direct line of feedback to the manufacturing plant where these and other issues will be taken on board, with a view to building and even better machine

Customer feedback is the basis for development

had the discs replaced under warranty last year warranty is out now, But are the parts under 12months warranty :ohplease:

I would have thought that your replacement discs should be covered under the terms of KHI warranty, assuming they were fitted by a dealer there will be a record of installation

Hi there,

warranty is usually from date of original purchase not from date of any replacement, due to this being an ongoing problem you may get lucky
