Weather permitting.
The Wife is working earlies NYD and the weather is forecast to be circa 5 degrees on Saturday.
Hangover permitting I may take a ride out (the first ride) on my new (to me) baby.
Leeds/ Bradford Airport area, maybe just a ride out around the Sun inn at Norwood, some familiar roads for a first ride.
Fingers crossed on the weather.

I would have been up for a NYD ride but we are going out on New Years eve and its going to be a very late night with a bit of alcohol consumption. Probably best I dont take the bike or the car out the following day, the Police will be finding any excuse to stop motorists on the off chance of catching a snifter of the syrup!!

Nygie

I quite agree about the cops.
It will all depend on how much sauce I have NYE too!  :o

Lonewolf

Just finished work again for another break. ;D

Dont go back to work till 7th Jan, so if you dont get out on NYD but still fancy a ride somewhere on another day let us know.

Nygie

Will do, I am keeping fingers crossed that I finish work early today and then fog permitting I may get the beast out and cover it in salt  ???
Gonna need some of that ACF50 lol

Nygie

Well I have finished work early but the roads around here are damp slippy and plain old shite!
Gonna leave it wrapped up for a bit longer¬!

The frustration must be killing you!!

I took mine out yesterday morning. Didn't really fancy it as I had been taking stuff to the incinerator and I was ******* freezing. However, had an opticians appointment so decided to go on the bike.

This always happens when I haven't ridden the bike for a week or so. I put too much power down which isn't a good idea on leaves and ice.  Having managed to catch the rear off I set. Next issue is the front TPS sensor complains about low battery. Common issue in cold weather, goes away after a few miles, but will be a warranty claim.

Other than that, I need to adjust the idle as it stalled going from first to second. Was good getting on the bike, but cold, even with my heated gear on. Noticed the stiching on my boots is coming loose which really let the cold air in, so will be getting some new boots.

The worse thing is that I need to be at work at 9am today and because I've been going to sleep at ~4am during the xmas break (mainly down to the Ashes), my body is refusing to go to sleep. Need to be up in another five hours ...

I actually managed to get out for 40 mins or so on Monday YEAHHH
Was good to ride again after nearly a couple of years!
The bike feels good after the long wait :)
My front TPS also gave the low battery for a few miles!
It was pretty cold, the worst part was my groin area and after 30 mins the ends of my fingers were starting to sting with the cold.
Apart from that it was pretty cool, well cold freezing actually.
Roads around here were pretty much dry except places with water leaks or surface water, so bike didn't get too dirty!

Lonewolf

Nygie, glad you managed to finally get out on the bike. Are you going to show us some photos?

Pics would be good. I'll take some of my bike as it is totally filthy at the moment. With the dirt I'd swear it was on off roader!

Was about to go to work on my bike today. Looked outside, saw it looked a bit frosty and as I was tired, opted for the car. Good decision as it was snowing in Lancashire.

On the positive side, the shortest day is over and come March we'll be wondering what all the fuss was ...

The only pics I have is of how it just fits in the garage, they're on my phone tho.
I'll see if I can get them off tomorrow after I have sorted my accounts out!

Cheers
