Have you ever left some kit on a bus or a train .. or put something down, got distracted and walked away only to come tearing back a short time later to find some bastard has nicked it ?

I am afraid to report that my blue sports bag.. many years old ... was left above my head on the luggage rack on The Gatwick Express recently .. woke up upon arrival at said airport with a jolt .. up and off to the car park where beloved Gtr was waiting .. "Now .. let me just chuck my bag in the top box and I shall make my way home .... " .. OH BOLLOX ! ... I did consider for a nano second  racing the train down to Brighton and seeing if my bag was still there but after a long night shift I thought better of it..... no reply from lost property after 2 weeks so it's long gone.

Very annoying ... phone charger, bits and pieces, nothing of value except to me, my running shoes of course ... but at least the thieving git had to get through my sweaty wet and orrid running vest and shorts and socks before he could get to anything else !!!   :nono:

Bought  a pool cue many years ago, got the bus home from the shop I'd just bought it from and then left the bleeding cue on the bus.

I hope it was cheap/cheep!  Cue for a song! :embarrassed:

I very stupidly left a playstation portable on a BA plane a few years ago!
Idiot I said to myself 'bet the cleaners' enjoy that little gift. (outrageous sterotyping I know)
Pinged an email to BA Lost property with no hope of success - amazed and surprised when reply came back, "yes sir - we have it here".
Kinda restored my faith in mankind. (well for a time anyways)
I came, I saw, I rode off....

My old man when he was alive and retired had a part time job at the local bus depot just driving them through the wash then parking them, one of the duties was to check the bus for left over people and bags etc, being an honest bloke he always handed in the stuff, one bag contained a load of expensive camera equipment and it turns out it was owned by a Canadian who had gone back and said he could keep it, sold it for £500.

As for unbrella's, the whole family had three each.

Mother-in-law has bought me the same umbrella twice for Christmas because I left the first one on a train.

She didn't remember she bought me one the year before.
