i've had my new gtr for nearly 3 week's now,i'm a little concerned about the screen,i have been caught out in rain a few time's & have cleaned the bike before putting it away,i only have to look at the screen & it's scratched,i'd have thought that on a 13.5k bike they would have had some sort of scratch resistant coating on it,to purchase a new replacement kawasaki screen i'm looking at shelling out over £150,i dont believe they should scratch so easily.

Mr tapps..! it dosen't matter how careful you are, you will always get minor scratchers. even from the day I collected my gtr I was careful when cleaning, I always soak the screen with warm water to soften any bugs or :shit: then rinse off with warm water and gentle wipe over with a chamois leather, and there's still light scratchers here and there, but theses scratchers are only light, and do not obscure the "through" view if your scratchers do, then your to heavy handed or your are not letting the water soak enough to soften the  :shit:
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Tapps, I'm sure that you do check your cleaning cloths etc before cleaning but scratches can occur if you don't

I agree with 2Kwacks..

TBH I've not experienced any major problems with mine

Use a softer pan scrub, you can get the non abrasive type from Morissons.
