i have had my new gtr since tuesday the 3rd of april,i love the bike,it's awsesome,i managed to ride it from the dealer's with a great condition 2nd hand REMUS endcan ,hanger & link pipe, fitted, picked up the SPUD LAUNCHER later using the car,GOOD CHOICE.the remus had the removable insert fitted,i had to try it with out the insert,LOVE THE SOUND WITHOUT,not to much to draw attention to yourself,JUST ENOUGH TO GET YOU NOTICED,why oh why did kawasaki skimp & scrape on what is clearly a couple of needed item's,a REAR HUGGER & RAD GUARD :cry:pardon the pun it BAFFLE'S ME,one should not have to shell out for after market add'on's to help protect your pride & joy from the element's,IT SHOULD ALREADY BE THERE,i got a rad guard, attempted to fit it & gave up,it wasn't a good fit so i took it off, tried again & gave up,i aint going to bother,i've fitted a fenda extenda to HELP prevent damage to the rad.i'll take a chance, done 510 mile's now,out for a ride to loomie's west meon 2mo,leave it alone monday, then over worthing for the 1st service.tuesday morning at 9.30am

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Gtr Mr Tapps ... I am over at Alfs 0900 on Tuesday morning for a 12000 mile service  ... staying whilst they do it .. well, a coffee then over to the cafe opposite for a big boys breakfast ... you there Tuesday ?

O.C.

Tapps , forgive me but the Rad guard (Beowulf type) is literally a 5 minute fit.

I'm guessing there must have been something amiss with the one you were installing

not the one i have it's not that straight forward, those cooling fin's are very delicate.
the curve in the guard was not enough, took it off, tried again this morning after trying to shape the curvre, the same as the rad & after a couple of cigg's & coffee's i gave up.

O.C.

Blimey, I'm really surprised about that, normally its a piece of cake to fit, as it just hooks over the top of the Radiator and secures with the one offset attachment bolt at the base of the Rad.

Sounds like it could be the wrong one. :undecided:
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

O.C.

Tapps, here's a couple of pics showing the fit to a previous GTR, they may help, sorry the pics aren't great its a difficult place to photograph, the first one shows the single lower attachment, and the second shows the guard in place/hooked onto the top of the Rad

Well, I have a Beowulf rad guard as well and mine has an extra clamp on the bottom left.
I only got it just over a month ago, so this is what you obviously get if you order one from Beowulf for a 2010+ GTR.

The later you brake the longer you go fast.

OK let's see if this works

You can clearly see the two screws for the clamp.

I got a Beowulf guard for the GTR, as stated it hooks over the top of rad and bolts at the bottom, piece of piss to fit and peace of mind.

Tracked e-bay for on for for my ZZR, got an alert, brand new in box R+G rad guard for GTR/ZZR £20 post free Woo-Hoo, I'm having that.

When it arrived it has no "hook" at the top, it has holes punched in the perimeter frame that you use to secure with the supplied tie wraps.

Totally functional just not as neat or easy as the Beowulf. I am going to try to screw/rivet hooks to the top rather than use the tie wraps
