just notified bennett's that i have changed the endcan on my gtr, cost me £25 for doing so  :shit:,i thought i'd better let them no,piece of mind realy.cant afford not to be covered if something did indeed go wrong.there's alot of idiot's out there.

Better safe than sorry !

That strikes me as being steep, £25 for a simple mod such as changing an exhaust. Many folk have lots of performance mods on thier bikes, that could make their policies very complicated and pricey.

worst case senario, them may find in making a CLAIM,there insurance may be VOID.i was advised to notify to them i had changed the silencer.another mean's of getting more money off you.

Rusty

Tapps ... you are spot on .. if you don't tell them and they find out, what ever the modification they will void your policy ... it's all in the small print.  :ninja:

O.C.

you are wise to inform your insurers of any mods to the bike REMEMBER also that you should advise them of any change in personal circumstances

They will cahrge and admin fee for such amendments, its common practice
BE KIND...

Also, if you renew with the same company, be sure the mod's are carried forward next year.  I have to remind them each year
when I receive the renewal paperwork.
Just because many do it does not make it right. Just because many think it does not make it true.
