On the other hand, a 59 plate, silver, low mileage one would suit me just fine too.

Nah, go for a 2010 model at the minimum. If you're going to upgrade, then upgrade properly is my view.

Ive contacted two dealers today who were selling a 2010 and a 2011 model. The 2010 model sold at the weekend...  but the 2011 model is still available but its in Dorset. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270926391412?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I'm happy to travel, I did a 600 mile round trip when I bought my current one but given the choice I'd rather not have to go that far if it could be avoided.

I'm waiting to hear back from the Dorset place after he's given me a ball park figure for mine.

there is a"Managers Special" deal available on a 2012 model with 1 mile on the clock here....its a very cheap deal and could be worth a call Steve...I don't think the bike is on their website, but is on Autotrader

Just waiting for a call back from these folk too.

Hmm, still waiting for a call back, their definition of five minutes clearly differs from mine!

That looks nice in Dorset ... Not a million miles from me .. if you buy it from there give me a shout and if I'm off I'll meet you there for a cuppa, photo session and a bit of a ride on the way back up North ..

It wont be a brand spanker   but we all know there are many bargains to be had at the moment. Theres a 10 and 11 plate magnesium one on Auto Trader & MCN Classifieds at the moment, £8.999, thats a fair price. Going to call them both tomorrow. Pity Keiths not just starting to advertise his bike now, it would be perfect for me. On the other hand, a 59 plate, silver, low mileage one would suit me just fine too.

I'll see what my local Kwak dealer thinks mines worth tomorrow. Ever the optimist I'd like £6000 for it but that might be wishfull thinking in these hard times.
£8.999, thats a fair price. I noticed there in the best colour  :sweatdrop:

just thinking dorset from you is approx 550 mile round trip, approx 5 hour ride each way  should be great fun on your new steed  I've bought 3 bikes from gt motorcycles in plymouth, and the best part was riding them all the way home  I remember a mate of mine saying, I must be mad buying a bike 300 miles away! I replied, well apart from getting a better deal from gt motorcycle than from my local dealers. I'm killing 2 birds with one stone! because when you buy a new bike you don't go straite home do you, you go for a dam good ride and most likely stay out all day! so whats the difference  hope everythink works out for you and hope to see you on your new steed at the cotswolds meet or sooner, if you fancy a ride to the ponderosa
