I found screen on my new 2010 model a bit short even at running in speeds. I've received screen but not fitted yet. What tools do I need?

Incidentally I've also got a Beowolf radiator guard. Only held on by one bolt at top and doesn't look a 100% fit / secure at bottom. Not fallen of though :-)

I think its a 4 and a 5 mm hex.

Use the 4 mm to remove the four bolts.
Remove the plastic coverings
Remove the two bolts with the 5 mm hex

Refitting is reverse

Just to expand on the above, when you are refitting the plastic covers on your screen, do not over tighten the four bolts otherwise you will get tiny cracks in the covers, I know this because I did it unfortunately. The covers are only made of plastic and are quite weak.

Good point LW. The same applies to the two 5mm bolts in which case you might crack your screen

Does anyone have any handlebar risers for sale, that will fit my 57 plate GTR. Or know where i can find some?

As i posted earlier, i have a set for a 2008+, that do not fit my bike.

So i have for sale or p/ex a set of risers, if anyone is interested.

Cheers B/F

Have you considered getting some fabricated to spec as a one off for yourself?

Hi Blackflash, I have fitted "Genmar bar risers" to my A9f. They come in two sizes: K-405 which give a rise of 38mm. & come back 22mm. and K405-B which give a rise of 51mm.& come back 32mm. They cost £94.99p so are not cheap. On the plus side, they fit well and look good and also improve rider comfort. The only mod I had to make was to drill and tap a 6mm. hole in one of the risers (the other one was already drilled and tapped). these are to clamp the brake and clutch hydraulic lines. Go on E-bay & type kawasaki gtr 1400 and they are on the last page, or look under sportouring.  Regards  Glenn.
My needs are very few. It's my wants that are expensive!

Black Flash

Thank you Kwak1, the risers i have, left ok, right one like yours, needs a hole drilled in it.

Thanks for the info on the two diffrent risers. Will look into it.

Cheers B/F
