To feel wind in hair, you don't need fast bike, you need hair :)

If you do nothing the warning will stay until the batteries are completely dead at which point the tire pressure display will vanish from the dash as if it had never existed.

Welcome Jonathan... who and where are you

From this http://www.pbase.com/fredharmon/tiresensor page, just a couple of questions, where do those angled valve stems come from as I have an angled valve attachment I put on every time I put air in?

and

Can I buy these batteries with tags on which would be easy to solder or have I got to get solder fixed to these batteries which I think I have done years ago and found it difficult due to the smooth surface .

Have you guys bought and used these right angled valves ?
The reason that I am asking is that I have bought 3 of them ( different brands ) and none of them work. Seems like the valve on the TPS bikes are too short.
Will be interesting to know if yours works on the TPS valve.

I dont have them Deon..
I leave all the blowing up of tyres to others..  :mfr_lol:

Does your bike have TPS fitted ?

I also use a right angled valve for topping up the tyres, have done for years and it works just fine. Just never leave it on when riding the bike...... :nono:

I bought some right angle valves from HG for emergencies and they fit OK.
The only problem I found is that half the air you just put in escapes when you take them off.
So how do you manage to get the right air pressure?
I find it absolutely disgusting that gas stations charge you for air and then provide gear that works only on cars.  :gun_bandana:
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

mecki, I use a Halfords tyre inflator http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_215808_langId_-1_categoryId_255241 I cant fault it. Set it correctly, it accuartely inflates the tyres even with the right angled valve on, take the valve off, and the GTR display indicates correct tyre pressures.
If your valves are causing an unacceptable loss of air you have a problem somewhere.

Chaps,  I had my rear tyre of today to plug a nail hole and decided not to put it back on yet before changing the battery in the the rear TPS,  has anyone actually had a crack at this please

viper

ive fitted batteries in my TPS, easy peasy if you can use a soldering iron, tghere is a thread on here about it. My nbike is an 2010 , later bikes came with sealed TPS , so you will need a new unit.

if you have the tyre off why not change to the angled valve stems as well
