since the mid seventies have been mad about bikes. have loss count how many have had over the years, used to love being in the garage till supid o'clock with winter projects, even the wife threatening me with the spare room did not deter me. but latley I seem to have a love and hate "relation" with bikes. and over the last few months I can't be botherd with them. it's not the weather. I rarely botherd riding them much over winter anyway, but allways kept them taxed so could take them for a decent run if a half decent day should appear. for example today the weather was ok, so thought I would take the zzr1400 out for a much needed run. after 12 miles I just could not be botherd and came back home. the tax is due on the zzr1400 end of this month, and this will be the first time am thinking of scorning it. has any body eles been having these's unnatural feelings? or is this natures way of telling me it's time to throw the towel in! also lately have been regreting selling my vn 1600 cruiser, which at the time was something I tried but then decided it was not for me. I think I will be going for a "checkup" from the "neckup" if this carries on ;)

me thinks yor are starting to get old!!!!!but i think i know what you mean you get ready set out then think were should i go to-day,then after half an hour you think stuff it and go home.this will change though when the sun comes out.

Mogster

Nah, once you've got bikes in ya blood it stays there, unless of course you want to become one of the sad ole fookers that wanders up with that sad, haunted expression when you is parked up and starts a conversation with 'I used to have a bike'  :'(

we all get them days mate... FFS! i had a couple during the summer, when i went out on the Tuono and thought 'nope not happening today'....came home put it away and then a few days later had the best ride out ever!

Best cure i've found is to go and blag some test rides, or even just go to a nice big dealers and sit on a few bikes.

or .... just look at this pic....and relax....  8).... Andorra in June ..Ahhhhh

She is like the Bumblebee, she should not fly....... and yet she does!

well Mr mogster that pic did help. infact it inspired me to look at my french and swiz alps pics, then went into the garage and rubbed my hand over the tanks on my bikes, least it's a start to getting back on the straite and narrow ;D also know what you mean about the "days gone by bikers" I allways seem to attract them! which makes me wonder what attracts them to me, hope I don't get an invitation to join the sad bastards club ;)

I've had days like that when I've thought whats the point and everything's been such an effort. I think it's the winter blues.  :(

It's very mild at the moment though and I'm taking advantage of this and trying to get out as much as possible. Dont forget this time last year we had snow, and lots of it.

It'll soon be January 2012 before you know it and we'll be winging our way towards all next years trips and meets and warmer weather. hang in there, you wont be disappointed!

Rusty

Exactly old bean ... the shortest day .. Dec 21st is only a short time away and after that the days get longer, the roads get drier and before you know it the liners are out of your gear and your summer gloves are on .... Brilliant.  ;D

all this positive feed back must be making an impression. I'm on a rest day tomorrow weather says cloudy/sunny but no rain :) may see if I can make more than 12 miles this time ;)

Get yourself up the west coast of Scotland to Portpatrick. Weather forecast is good for that area.

Grab some lunch here,

For heavens sake man pull yourself together. Having a bad day on your bike is just built into the system, so that when you have a good one it makes you go woooooooooooooooooooow and you go home thinking that was bloody fantastic. If we didn't have crappy days we could never understand how good a GOOD day is, Keep sneeking into the garage looking at the bikes, keep buying the bike mags, watch your old videos and dvds, have a gander at your old biking holiday snaps, and hey presto you will be sparked up and ready to go again. KEEP THE FAITH. you cant shake biking off, your stuck with it for life.  :) ;)
What would you rather be   or a wasp?
