Well three months in to the ownership and some things in the bike world never change.
Aftermarket sat-nav mount - Check [ BMW one fouls a large tank bag ]
Aftermarket screen - Check [ BMW one is fine at normal road speeds, a bit larger needed for motorway cruising ]
Aftermarket rear hugger fitted - Check [ Back of bike filthy without one ]

Still making me grin when I ride it, not so much when I clean it, I forgot how dirty unfaired bikes could get.

Happy New Year to you all.

Well I knew eventually I would be appearing here.
Traded in the GTR last week, having signed my soul away for a BMW.
Not the predictable model one might expect, I've bought a F850GS.
I only ride solo now, so the GTR was a bit OTT but I needed a large frame bike.
Versys of both sizes were OK, Vstrom was a bit 'meh' and the BMW F800GT was a bit bit cramped for me [ we have two on our blood bike fleet]

Test rode a 1250GS and a S1000XR, both good bikes but the smaller 850 did everything I wanted.
So let the back slapping/slagging off commence

Robbie, Mr awkward is just being argumentative and trying to provoke confrontation, a bit like a child would be if they weren’t allowed to play out. The bike looks stunning.  :punk:
Talk about eye of the beholder, sorry Robbie but that lots fugly to me, I do like the orange though.

Just checked and even my local Honda dealership at Wolverhampton have lost their motorcycle department now!

I think that was nationwide. They went through the period of having car/bike dealerships combined, but realised most car owners/potential buyers are not interested in motorcycles.

Wheels of Peterborough picked up the local Honda dealership franchise, but Honda would not have their bikes in amongst the other makes, hence Honda sales/spares are in a different building on the same site. But they get serviced in the same workshop as the rest.

In respect of Comans reply, he is spot on.What used to be the solus dealer Kawasaki Peterborough was told by Kawasaki he would need to stock more bikes, re decorate his premises to the required colours etc. The owner Dave gave him a big FO pill and he closed down soon after.

Went for a test drive in a GSA today and sorry to say I've rejoined the dark side. Picking it up at the weekend.
